Students across Kogi West Senatorial District have declared their support for Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, citing what they described as tangible improvements in education and overall development under his representation.

The position was contained in a statement issued on Friday by student leaders, including Comrade Muhammed Abdulkarim Adabo, former ENSA President, alongside Abdullahi Alhassan (Financial Secretary), Muhammed Nasir (General Secretary), Muhammad Kabir (Vice President), Muhammed Sufiyan (Treasurer), and Abdulkarim Hafsat (Queen).

Reflecting their collective stance, the students said their endorsement was informed by lived experiences rather than political sentiment.

They pointed to a noticeable shift from what they described as “abandoned promises” in the past to “visible development” and impactful representation in recent times.

According to the statement, learning environments across parts of Kogi West are gradually improving, while opportunities for young people continue to expand.

The students noted that what once seemed like empty rhetoric is now translating into real hope for many who directly face the challenges within the system.

They emphasized that their call for continuity is anchored on measurable results, stressing that leadership choices should be guided by performance and proven impact rather than sentiment.

The group also appealed for the sustenance of ongoing initiatives, warning that any disruption could slow down the pace of progress recorded so far.

“We are pleading, not out of politics, but based on what we have seen and experienced. Let the good work continue, and let progress not be interrupted,” the statement read.

They cautioned against what they termed unnecessary political experimentation, insisting that the district should not “go backward” or replace proven results with unfulfilled promises.

Reaffirming their confidence in the senator, the students urged stakeholders and the electorate to support continuity, maintaining that sustained leadership is essential to consolidating ongoing development across Kogi West.
