Maikaya’s Decision Shows Political Maturity, Loyalty — Toto LG Chairman

The Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, has showered encomium on his elder brother and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya (Ciroman Toto), for accepting Governor Abdullahi Sule’s decision to endorse Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as the party’s preferred consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
Yahaya gave the commendation on Saturday in Toto during an event organised by Dr. Maikaya, where party stakeholders and supporters converged at his residence.
He described Maikaya’s decision as a clear demonstration of political maturity, loyalty, and commitment to the unity and progress of the APC.
In an emotional address, the council chairman emphasized the importance of patience and perseverance in political life, drawing from his personal experience of overcoming challenges through dedication and steadfastness.
He urged Maikaya to remain focused and committed to his principles, expressing optimism that his sacrifices and contributions to the party and the state would ultimately be rewarded.
Yahaya further noted that the people of Toto Local Government Area have accepted the development in good faith and are ready to mobilise support for Governor Sule and the APC to secure victory for Senator Wadada and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections.
“We are more united than ever, with no divisions within the APC ranks in Toto. We will work tirelessly to deliver overwhelming support for the party during the elections,” he said.
The chairman also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing people-oriented programmes and called on residents to continue supporting Governor Sule’s leadership and the APC’s overall agenda.
