2027: Kogi PDP Ratifies Automatic Ticket for Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
The State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State has formally ratified an automatic ticket for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the party’s sole candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general election.
The decision was taken during a meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Lokoja, where members overwhelmingly endorsed the earlier approval granted by the State Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo.
The committee also reaffirmed Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s leadership within the party in the state, citing her sustained support and financial contributions to the PDP’s operations and grassroots structure.
Members of the committee, while addressing the meeting, commended the senator’s performance in the National Assembly, noting that her legislative efforts have continued to project the party positively.
Beyond her parliamentary role, the committee highlighted her developmental strides across Kogi Central, particularly in the areas of empowerment and infrastructure.
These, they said, include the construction of schools and markets, provision of housing, and the implementation of skills acquisition programmes for constituents.
The PDP pledged its continued loyalty and support to the senator, declaring her the unanimous choice of the party for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial election.
