May Day: Nasarawa Speaker Salutes Workers, Pledges Supportive Legislation

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has extended warm felicitations to workers across the state on the occasion of this year’s May Day celebration, assuring them of sustained legislative support and stronger partnership to improve their welfare.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, the Speaker commended workers for their immense contributions to governance and development, describing them as the engine room of government.

Jatau noted that the 7th Assembly under his leadership remains committed to enacting worker-friendly laws and policies aimed at enhancing the well-being of civil servants in the state.

He congratulated workers on the celebration, praising them as hardworking, patriotic, and dedicated citizens whose efforts continue to drive the progress of Nasarawa State.

The Speaker expressed satisfaction with the commitment and support of workers to the present administration, assuring them of the Assembly’s readiness to collaborate with the executive arm in promoting their welfare.

He also lauded Governor Abdullahi Sule for prioritising workers’ welfare through regular payment of salaries, pensions, and gratuities, as well as for providing training opportunities and creating employment within the civil service.

Jatau further called for sustained synergy between labour unions and the government to ensure industrial harmony and effective service delivery.

While urging workers to remain diligent and united in their service to the state, the Speaker reaffirmed the Assembly’s resolve to continue pursuing policies that will uplift their living and working conditions.
