June 12 Democracy Day: Kogi SWAGA/NCA Leadership Hails Gov Ododo, President Tinubu, Nigerians, Calls for Unity and Prayers
The Kogi State Coordinator of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju and North Central Alliance (SWAGA/NCA), Prince Michael Ojotule, has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 June 12 Democracy Day celebration.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Friday to commemorate Democracy Day, Prince Ojotule emphasized the need for Nigerians to continue supporting leaders at all levels in order to sustain and protect the nation’s democratic values.
President of the Prince Michael Ojotule Support Group noted that democracy can only flourish in an atmosphere of unity, cooperation, and active citizen participation, urging Nigerians to remain committed to peace and national development.

Prince Ojotule also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify efforts toward addressing the growing insecurity in the country, particularly the menace of banditry and kidnapping, which he described as a serious threat to the safety and well-being of citizens.
According to him, urgent and decisive action is needed to curb criminal activities and restore public confidence in the nation’s security architecture.
He further urged Nigerians to continue praying for peace, unity, and divine guidance for the nation’s leaders, while expressing hope that those in leadership would fulfill their campaign promises and deliver meaningful dividends of democracy to the people.
