Kogi Police Command Condole NUJ Correspondents Over Road Accident

The Kogi State Police Command has expressed sympathy to members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Correspondents’ Chapel, Kogi State, following the road accident involving some journalists in the state.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, the Command described the incident as unfortunate and expressed deep sadness over the development.

The Command extended its heartfelt prayers and solidarity to the injured journalists, their families, and the entire media community in Kogi State, wishing the victims a speedy and full recovery.

According to the statement, the Police Command acknowledges the sacrifices journalists make in the discharge of their professional responsibilities, particularly in keeping the public informed.

The Command also joined the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council, and the people of Kogi State in praying for the quick recovery of those affected by the accident.

The Police further reassured journalists of its unwavering commitment to their safety and protection as they continue to perform their constitutionally guaranteed duties.
