Thousands of young people gathered in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, on Saturday to welcome Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, during her official visit to the state.

The crowd was mobilized by the Kogi State Senior Special Assistant on Youth Empowerment, Hon. Godfrey Adekoye, whose office said the event was aimed at encouraging youth participation in governance and national development.

Supporters lined major routes in Lokoja, cheering as the First Lady arrived, creating what organizers described as a demonstration of solidarity and enthusiasm among young people across the state.

According to a statement issued by Adekoye’s media aide, the large turnout reflected the growing involvement of youths in civic and political activities. The statement said the gathering also underscored the importance of leadership in inspiring young people to contribute positively to their communities and the country’s development.

Adekoye urged youths to take advantage of opportunities for personal growth and public service, encouraging them to play active roles in shaping Nigeria’s future.

The First Lady’s visit formed part of her official engagements in Kogi State, where she was received by state officials, political leaders and supporters.
