The Independent Campaign Council of the Wadada Project has appointed the immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Alhaji Muhammed Usman Shege, popularly known as “Understand,” as the Local Government Coordinator for Toto ahead of the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship election.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary of the Wadada Project, Nasiru Abdullahi, following the ratification of the campaign structure by the Project’s State Executive Council during its meeting in Lafia.

Muhammed Usman Shege is among the 13 Local Government Coordinators approved to spearhead grassroots mobilization and stakeholder engagement across the state’s 13 local government areas in support of the governorship ambition of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.

According to the statement, the appointments are part of the Project’s strategic implementation plan designed to strengthen its grassroots presence and coordinate political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The campaign structure, chaired by Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development and Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Works and Housing, also approved the appointment of 13 Local Government Women Leaders to complement the mobilization efforts.

For Toto Local Government Area, Hon. Alheri Samuel was appointed as the Women’s Leader, while Mohammed Shege will coordinate the overall campaign activities within the council area.

Other coordinators appointed include Hon. Larry Ven-bawa (Akwanga), Hon. Aliyu Ali Yusuf Dogara (Wamba), Alhaji Yusuf Mada (Nasarawa Eggon), Hon. Abdullahi Angibi (Lafia), Hon. Barr. David Moyi Sule (Obi), Hon. Usman Abubakar Kekura (Awe), Hon. Joseph Attah (Doma), Hon. Atose Muhammad (Keana), Dr. Usman Alhaji Yusuf (Keffi), Abraham Habu Ekpo (Karu), Hon. Barr. Abubakar Obere (Kokona), while the coordinator for Nasarawa Local Government Area is yet to be announced.

The Project also unveiled Women Leaders for all the local government areas to boost grassroots participation and community engagement across the state.

The statement further disclosed that the newly appointed Local Government Coordinators and Women Leaders will be officially inaugurated on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wadada Campaign Office along Jos Road, Lafia.

The leadership of the Project expressed confidence that the newly constituted campaign team would deepen grassroots mobilization and strengthen support for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada’s governorship aspiration under the campaign slogan, “One Nasarawa, One Vision, One Future with Wadada.”
