Just In: Gov. Sule Appoints Eight New Commissioners, Nasarawa Assembly Fixes August 7 Screening

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has appointed eight new commissioner nominees as part of efforts to strengthen his administration and improve governance across the state.

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Ph.D, announced the appointments on Wednesday during plenary in Lafia while reading a letter from Governor Sule.

The commissioner nominees are:

– Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo – Wamba Local Government Area
– Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed – Lafia Local Government Area
– Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu – Keffi Local Government Area
– Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga – Obi Local Government Area
– Adamu Rebecca Kpadji – Wamba Local Government Area
– Nawani Aboki – Doma Local Government Area
– Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA – Nasarawa Local Government Area
– Ashefo Daniel Paul, Ph.D – Lafia Local Government Area

The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) ahead of their confirmation exercise.

He further announced that the nominees would appear before the House for screening on Friday, August 7, 2026.

The appointments are expected to fill key positions in the Nasarawa State Executive Council as Governor Sule continues efforts to enhance service delivery and accelerate the implementation of his administration’s development agenda.
