Dignitaries Celebrate Amb. Habila Aboki’s 7th Anniversary on the Throne

Tributes have continued to pour in for the Chim Uku of Nku Chiefdom in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Amb. Habila Adamu Aboki, as dignitaries, traditional rulers and community members gathered to celebrate the seventh anniversary of his reign.
The colourful anniversary celebration, held on Sunday, commenced with a thanksgiving service at ECWA Good News, while the reception took place at Kini Country Hotel.
The event attracted prominent personalities from Nasarawa State and beyond, who commended the monarch for his leadership, peace-building efforts, cultural preservation and commitment to community development.
Essiet, Alewa Akawu Receive Traditional Titles
A major highlight of the celebration was the recognition of individuals who have contributed to humanitarian services and community development.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Community Engagement, Dr. Abiodun Essiet, backed the traditional title of Tauraruwa of Nku Chiefdom, while Amb. Alewa Akawu Nasiru was conferred with the traditional title of Shettima Nku Chiefdom.
The titles, according to the organisers, were in recognition of their contributions to humanitarian services and the development of communities.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Essiet pledged continued support for the recognition and strengthening of traditional institutions and titles within Nku Chiefdom.
She said traditional institutions remained critical to grassroots governance, peace-building and social cohesion, urging governments at all levels to provide the necessary support for them to effectively discharge their responsibilities.
“Amb. Habila Aboki has used the throne to unite people, empower the vulnerable, and promote our culture. We must support the traditional titles that help him drive development in the chiefdom,” she said.
Prominent Leaders Back Nku Traditional Institution
Essiet was joined by other prominent figures, including the Chun Mada, Samson Gamu Yare, and former Deputy Governors of Nasarawa State, Silas Agara and Chief John Michael Abdul.
The dignitaries expressed support for the sustenance of the traditional structures within Nku Chiefdom, while commending the monarch for what they described as his efforts towards peace and unity.

In his remarks, Amb. Habila Adamu Aboki expressed gratitude to God for preserving his life and thanked the people of Nku Chiefdom and other supporters for standing by him throughout his seven years on the throne.
The monarch highlighted some of the achievements recorded during his reign, including empowerment programmes for widows, peace-building initiatives, education promotion and youth development projects.
“My seven years on the throne have been about service. We have empowered widows, promoted education, and ensured peace in our communities. This would not have been possible without the support of my people,” the monarch said.
Governor Sule, Others Honoured
The anniversary reception also featured the presentation of awards to individuals recognised for their contributions to societal development.
Among those honoured were Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and Amb. Akwawu Alewa Nasiru.
In their goodwill messages, speakers described the Chim Uku as an exemplary traditional leader and urged him to sustain his efforts towards promoting peace, unity and development across Nku Chiefdom.
Governor Sule was also commended for his support for traditional institutions and his efforts towards peace and development in Nasarawa State.
The anniversary celebration ended with cultural displays, prayers and renewed calls for unity, peace and development among the people of Nku Chiefdom.
