The Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications has described His Imperial Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri Kingdom, as a symbol of peace, unity and bridge-building as he celebrates five years on the royal throne.
The Bureau said the monarch’s approach to leadership had demonstrated the important role traditional institutions can play in promoting harmonious coexistence and sustainable development.
In a goodwill message signed by the Director-General, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq., the Bureau said Ogiame Atuwatse III had distinguished himself through statesmanship, diplomacy and commitment to dialogue.

According to the organisation, the monarch has continued to use his position to encourage unity among his people while promoting peaceful relationships among the diverse communities of Delta State.
The Bureau described the Olu as a “royal bridge-builder,” noting that his leadership had strengthened the relevance of the traditional institution as a partner in peacebuilding and development.
It said the monarch’s fifth coronation anniversary was therefore not only a celebration of five years on the throne but also an opportunity to recognise his contributions to peace, cultural identity and social cohesion.
The Bureau also noted the significance of Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s presence at the fifth coronation anniversary celebration.
It described the Governor’s presence as a reflection of the enduring respect and cordial relationship between the Delta State Government and the Warri traditional institution.
The organisation said Ogiame Atuwatse III had brought a combination of ancestral wisdom, modern vision and diplomatic leadership to the throne.
It added that his efforts to unite the Itsekiri people at home and in the diaspora had contributed to a stronger sense of shared identity and collective purpose.
The Bureau also praised the monarch’s development initiatives in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and human capital development.
It said the activities of the Royal Iwere Foundation and Iwere Trust Fund further demonstrated the monarch’s commitment to translating royal leadership into tangible benefits for the people.
The Bureau joined the Warri Kingdom, Itsekiri Nation, Delta State Government and well-wishers around the world in celebrating Ogiame Atuwatse III.
It prayed that Almighty God would continue to grant the Olu wisdom, strength, sound health and divine protection to lead his people.
The Bureau further wished the Warri Kingdom and the Itsekiri Nation continued peace, unity, prosperity and development under the monarch’s leadership.
