The National Coordinator of the Alliance of North Central Youth (ANCY), Hon. Gabriel Joshua Ojochegbe, has paid a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Interest Groups, Hon. Bank Andrew Omonisaye, ahead of the planned inauguration of the ANCY Kogi State Chapter.
The visit, which formed part of preparations for the forthcoming inauguration, was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the youth-focused organization and relevant stakeholders in Kogi State.
It also provided an opportunity for the ANCY leadership to formally introduce the organization’s vision, programmes and activities, particularly its commitment to youth engagement, grassroots mobilization, civic participation and support for development-oriented government policies.
During the meeting, Ojochegbe said ANCY remained committed to mobilizing and empowering young people across the North Central region while creating opportunities for constructive engagement between youths, communities and government.
He emphasized the importance of organized youth participation in governance and community development, noting that young people have a critical role to play in shaping the future of the region.
The National Coordinator further expressed ANCY’s readiness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders in Kogi State to ensure that the forthcoming inauguration of the state chapter creates a strong platform for meaningful youth participation and grassroots engagement.
Responding, Hon. Bank Andrew Omonisaye welcomed the ANCY delegation and commended the organization for formally engaging with the office responsible for interest groups.
Omonisaye stressed the importance of organized youth participation and constructive partnerships in advancing the development of Kogi State.
He noted that effective collaboration between government, youth organizations and other stakeholders could help create opportunities for young people while strengthening their participation in development initiatives.
The courtesy visit comes ahead of the planned inauguration of the ANCY Kogi State Chapter, which is expected to attract youth leaders, community representatives, stakeholders and members of the organization from across the state.
The inauguration is expected to provide a platform for the organization to deepen its grassroots activities and promote its programmes among young people across Kogi State.
Reaffirming ANCY’s commitment to its vision, “Mobilizing the Youths, Shaping Tomorrow,” Ojochegbe said the organization would continue to focus on grassroots engagement, youth development, civic education and responsible participation in governance.
