The Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Council, Hon. Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, has saluted Nigerians on the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, urging continued commitment to the values of unity and peaceful coexistence.
Yahaya also congratulated the people and government of Nasarawa State as the state celebrates 30 years since its creation.
In his anniversary message, the chairman extended greetings to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the National Assembly and Nigerians at home and abroad.
He described the Independence Anniversary as an opportunity to remember the sacrifices made by the nation’s founding fathers in the struggle that paved the way for Nigeria’s independence.
According to Yahaya, the anniversary should also serve as a reminder of the importance of unity and determination in building a better society.
He congratulated Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, Deputy Governor Emmanuel Akabe and the people of Nasarawa State on the state’s 30th anniversary.
The chairman noted that Nasarawa State had grown over the past 30 years, with peaceful coexistence, unity in diversity and development remaining important features of its journey.

Yahaya further pledged that his administration would continue to promote people-oriented policies, infrastructural development and inclusive governance across Toto Local Government Area.
He said the council would maintain its support for developmental efforts of the state and federal governments.
The chairman wished Nigerians a happy 66th Independence Anniversary and the people of Nasarawa State a happy 30th anniversary.
