The Delta State Government has announced the commencement of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 39 Recruitment Exercise, urging eligible youths across the state to apply before the deadline.
The application window opened on October 2, 2026, and is scheduled to close on October 31, 2026.

Applicants are expected to submit their applications exclusively through the Nigerian Navy’s official recruitment portal: https://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng
The recruitment covers several areas of specialisation, including Marine and Mechanical Engineering, Weapon Electrical Systems, Communications and ICT, Seaman and Survey, and Medical Service.
For applicants holding SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB certificates, the age range is 18 to 22 years as of December 31, 2026.
Those applying with NCE, OND, Registered Nurse/Midwife qualifications, or under the eligible drivers/mechanics and sportsmen/sportswomen categories must be 18 to 26 years by the same date.
The recruitment requirements also stipulate a minimum height of 1.69 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
Applicants must be Nigerians by birth and possess a valid NIN. They must also be single and medically, physically and psychologically fit.
The announcement excludes applicants with physical disabilities and tattoos and requires candidates to have no previous criminal conviction by a court of law.
Candidates are also advised to ensure that their WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or GCE certificates are not more than six years old from the date of application.
The recruitment examination is scheduled for November 21, 2026, at designated centres across Nigeria.
Successful applicants are expected to complete the online process, upload their credentials, print their forms and appear for screening at their designated centres.
The Delta State Government also warned that anyone who uploads or presents false information or forged documents will face disqualification and possible prosecution.
The state said the recruitment opportunity aligns with the job and wealth creation component of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.
Qualified youths from Delta State have consequently been encouraged to apply before the October 31 deadline.
