Kano: Nasarawa Speaker urged newly wedded couples to embrace patience, tolerance, forgiveness

The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Danladi Jatau, has called on Nigerians to embrace inter-state and inter-tribal marriage in order to promote peace, unity and enhance national integration among the diverse ethnic and religion groups in the country.
The Speaker also urged newly wedded couples to embrace patience, tolerance, forgiveness and other good virtues of marriage for happy and successful married life.
Speaker Jatau made the call during the wedding fatiha between Hon. Musa Saidu Gude, member representing Uke/Karshi constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and his beloved wife, Hajiya Asmau Sani Ahmadu.
The wedding fatiha took place today Friday at Al’furQan Masjid, Masjid in Nasarawa LGA of Kano State.
The Speaker said that the wedding between Musa and Asmau will cement the relationship between Kano and Nasarawa States.
Jatau said that for any marriage to be successful, both couple must embrace effective communication and understanding.
“On behalf of myself, Honourable members and staff of the Nasarawa State House assembly, we rejoice with one of our own, Hon. Musa Saidu Gude, the Jagaban Karshi.
“We are happy for him and his wife and we prayed God to bless their marriage.
“I want to call on Hon. Gude not to show discrimination or offer preferential treatment while handling the affairs of his family,” the Speaker said.
Jatau advised the couple not to allow third party interfere in their marriage.
The Speaker while congratulating the couple also wished them happy married life.
Jatau used the medium to call on the people of Nasarawa and Kano States and other states to continue to co-exist peacefully and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations for the overall development of the country.
On his part, the Groom, Hon Musa Saidu Gude, who took Asmau as his 4th wife, appreciated God for making their dream become reality.
The Deputy Minority Whip of the House also thanked Speaker Jatau, Honourable members and other well wishers for attending his wedding fatiha and prayed God to grant them journey mercies to their various destinations.
The Chairman, House Committee on Nasarawa Urban Development Board (NUDB) also prayed God to bless his marriage.
It would be reported that HRH Dr Ahmed Abdullahi Hassan, Yakanaje Uke stood in for the groom’s family and Alh. Mohammed Kabir Mahmud stood in for the bride’s family.
Speaking in an interview, Rt. Hon. Abel Bala, Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, Hon. Solomon Akwashiki, Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, Hon. Peter Akwe, Hon. Kudu Ajegana and Hon. Hudu A Hudu among other well wishers congratulated and wished Hon. Musa and his new wife, Asmau peaceful marriage home.
They lawmakers advised the groom to be fair and just while handling the affairs of his family.
Earlier, Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar, the Chief Imam of Al-Furaqan Masjid, while presiding over the wedding fatiha pronounced Hon. Musa and Hajiya Asmua as husband and wife after the payment of N200,000 as dowry and presentation of medical certificates.
He urged the couple to embrace good virtues of marriage which include peace, unity, patience, tolerance, understanding and effective communication among others.
The cleric prayed for the unity, peace, progress and development of the country.

It would be reported that the wedding fatiha also had in attendance Hon. Suleiman Azara, the Majority Leader of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Onarigu Kana, Barr. Esson Mairiga, Hon. John Ovey, Hon. Jonah Ali Dizaho, Hon Ibrahim Aliyu Nana, Hon. Musa Abubakar Ibrahim and Hon Larry Ven-Bawa. among others including Staff of the State Assembly.
