Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Immediate Past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, and Hon. Muhammed Garba Isimbabi, Member Representing Toto/Gadabuke Constituency, have committed to prioritizing the unity, peace, and progress of Toto Local government
This resulted from their brief interaction earlier today, immediately following their participation in the Local Government elections held on Saturday.
Balarabe Abdullahi, former representative of Umaisha/Ugya State constituency, voted at Umaisha this morning and was stopped at Shafan Abakpa on his return journey by Hon. Isimbabi and his entourage, who wished to greet the former Speaker.
Hon. Isimbabi exercised his franchise at Shafan Abakpa during the Saturday polls.
The two leaders exchanged cordial greetings, engaged in a brief, muted conversation in Egbira, shook hands, and shared smiles, with Hon. Isimbabi offering comments.
“Honorable leader, Sir, I halted you momentarily to exchange greetings; have a safe trip. Upon my return, we will schedule a comprehensive meeting to discuss pertinent matters.”
Following the casting of his vote in Umaisha, Chairman of the Toto LG Traditional Council of Chiefs, the Ohimegye Opanda HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi, expressed delight at the return of peace to the area, enabling citizens to exercise their civic duties and advocating for its continuation.
The First Class Traditional Ruler, while speaking to journalists after casting his vote, seized the opportunity to urge the elites and political class in Toto LG to unite towards a shared objective, promoting sustained peace, unity, and development in the area
The three first-class traditional rulers in the districts, specifically the Ohimegye Opanda Umaisha, Ohinoyi Ogye of Toto, and Gomo Babye of Gadabuke, stressed the need for political unity during a Thursday meeting with Rt. Hon Balarabe Abdullahi and Yahaya Ibrahim Osada’s APC campaign team, praising the former Speaker’s leadership and urging him to continue his work for the people of Toto LG.
The brief meeting had Hon Usman Adams, Hon Oyoyo, Mr. Obata and some youths were also present to exchanged pleasantry with former Speaker Balarabe
