In life and its activities, it is better late than never, as Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle, Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and National Chairman of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), marked another year on October 25, 2024.
The commemoration, initiated at the party level within the household, expanded to other domains with prayers and supplications seeking sustained protection for the incumbent IPAC Chairman, whose unwavering commitment to transforming democratic governance in the nation remains steadfast.
As a member of Nigeria’s privileged class, Dantalle has built an impressive career as a successful businessman, entrepreneur, farmer, and renowned politician, having graduated with a degree in Sociology from Bayero University, Kano, more than twenty years ago.
He has explored entrepreneurial ventures in petroleum and packaged water production, with a longstanding involvement in commercial ‘Red oil’ production that spans over four decades.
He operates the sole successful private oil company in North Central Kogi State, having diversified into the production and packaging of ‘Red natural oil’ for local use and export.
He has promoted high-yield farming of palm fruits, graduating from local farming methods used for many decades, which has expanded production of the main staple, ‘Red oil’, for domestic consumption and export.
Four decades later, his strategic leadership had transformed the company into a vibrant enterprise, fostering widespread employment, self-reliance, and economic stability among Nigerians.
At the national level, a two-time Chairman of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) and current Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) advocates for widespread engagement and the advancement of sound democratic governance in the country.
Within a year, Dantelle significantly repositioned IPAC, submitting position papers on vital national issues to the National Assembly and organizing an esteemed national discourse, providing objective guidance to enhance Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1999.
He condemned electoral malpractices, confronting both the ruling and opposition parties, while also offering guidance and critique to the electoral commission, civil society, and non-governmental organizations on how to advance Nigeria’s democratic status as Africa’s giant, rather than utilizing it for self-serving purposes.
The strategic repositioning of APM, his party, and IPAC, in both private and public arenas, has yielded significant benefits, solidifying democracy and constituting a notable achievement during his tenure as Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC.
Over the course of a year, he fostered greater understanding, cooperation, and a productive working relationship between INEC, relevant local entities, and global bodies operating in the country.
His efforts for sustenance of democratic governance, public outcry against conducts of elections both at local , state and federal level had placed Nigeria’s democracy at the global focus with a lot of dignity before the international communities.
This was far away from the efforts of the previous leadership of IPAC that subjected the council as an organ under the whims and caprices of the ruling party, and had brought good leadership into the fore front in Nigeria.
As you mark additional year in your life’s sojourn , your selfless services, national and global engagements and sacrifices will continue to manifest in all your endeavors.
Congratulations once again and Happy Birthday Day , Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle, Chairman , Allied People’s Movement APM and current Chairman , Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC, wishing you many more years .
