Youth Council Welcomes VP Kashim Shettima to Nasarawa State
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State Chapter is pleased to welcome Vice President Kashim Shettima to Nasarawa State, as he is scheduled to visit today, Friday, 3rd January 2025. The visit is highly esteemed by the youth of the state, who expect it to trigger a range of programs aimed at youth empowerment and comprehensive state development.

NYCN, Nasarawa State, the visit will involve attending the graduation ceremony of 1128 trainees from the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute, Lafia. The institute has trained the graduates over the past three months in various areas, including welding and fabrication, ICT, cosmetology, mechanical engineering, and plumbing. With trainees from different states across the federation, the institute has equipped them with skills in over forty contemporary areas, enabling them to compete favourably in the global vocational skills market.
The Nasarawa State One Stop Investment Centre and Multi-Door Court House of the Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency (NASIDA) has been officially launched. The One Stop Investment Centre is designed to provide a centralized hub for investment facilitation, streamlined services, and support for investors, thereby enabling businesses to set up and operate more easily, attracting more investors, creating job opportunities, and reducing youth restiveness in the state. The Multi-Door Court House will offer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, including mediation and arbitration, to efficiently resolve business disputes, reduce litigation time and costs, and foster a more business-friendly environment.
Other activities comprise the distribution of tractors and rice seedlings to Local Government Officials to promote rice farming.
