Asari Dokubo, a traditional ruler in the Niger Delta religion of Nigeria, has urged the youths in the area to reject violence, emphasizing the importance of peace for the region’s development.

In a recent address, Asari Dokubo revealed that engaging in violent acts would not solve existing problems but rather exacerbate them.

Dokubo called for investments from the diaspora to foster economic growth and create opportunities for the youth, reinforcing that peaceful dialogue is essential for progress in the Niger Delta

The Da-Amakiri Tubo and Amanyanabo of the Source, Asari Dokubo, appealed to the youths of the Niger Delta to eschew all forms of violence.

In his New Year’s message, Dokubo reaffirmed his commitment to fighting oppression, resource control, and environmental conservation in the region.

He emphasized the importance of unity in the Niger Delta, stating that such attributes among the people will lead to development in the Kalabari community and the broader region.

He also urged diaspora community members to make concerted efforts to return home and invest in their local communities.

Dokubo said, “Our people need to come back home to build houses here instead of buying land in other communities.”

“I urge my fellow Kalabari brothers and sisters worldwide to set up businesses here that will boost the Kalabari Kingdom’s economy and provide jobs for our people,” he stated.
