The leader of Zone B in Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State and Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa, popularly known as Barr MT Osuku, has urged residents to ensure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) retains all elective positions in the area during the 2027 elections.
Osuku made the call on Thursday while hosting selected APC stalwarts and supporters drawn from various polling units across Zone B at his residence in Lokoja.
The meeting also had some appointed officials from the ward, local government and state levels in attendance.
Speaking at the gathering, Osuku said Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government could not afford to lose any elective position, considering the support, patronage and developmental attention he said the area had received under APC-led administrations at the state and federal levels.
The APC leader urged residents to key into the party’s political project beyond the 2027 elections, insisting that the governing party had continued to demonstrate commitment to the welfare and development of the people.
He called on party supporters to conduct their political activities peacefully and avoid unnecessary confrontations and distractions from opposition groups.
According to Osuku, the APC’s 2027 project is gaining momentum, stressing that supporters must remain focused on strengthening the party at the grassroots.
He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for consolidating on the achievements of former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, particularly in the areas of security, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and human capital development.
Osuku also urged residents to sustain their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing the Federal Government’s support for Kogi State.

On the National Assembly, the APC leader appealed to residents to support Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, and Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.
He further urged voters in Zone B to support the two APC candidates for the state constituencies, stressing that political unity remained important to attracting more development to the area.
Osuku thanked residents for their continued support for Governor Ododo and other political appointees, assuring them that more development projects were in the pipeline.
