Again, Students in Nasarawa State Express Gratitude as Maikaya Distributes Books
With the hike in the prices of writing materials in the market, which makes it difficult for students to acquire them, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Maikaya Development Foundation and frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027; elections in Nasarawa State, Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has distributed books to the Nasarawa State Students Association.
The event took place at the Faculty of Education, Nasarawa State University Keffi, and was witnessed by presidents of all the faculties and students.
The books, according to the Chief Operating Officer of the Maikaya Development Foundation and Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Student Matters, Comrade Shuaibu Sani, said the distribution aimed at addressing the lack of writing materials among students.
He said the CEO of the Maikaya Development Foundation, Dr. Muhammad Musa Maikaya, has been committing himself towards providing humanitarian services to the people of Nasarawa State, particularly the less privileged in society.
Shuaibu Sani informed the students that for over a decade, the foundation has been rendering such gestures to the people, including scholarships to students across the state, irrespective of their differences.
Comrade Abimiku Ovey David, NASSA National President, and Jatau Tabitha Ayuku, Coordinator, Association of Nigerian Female Students, Nasarawa State chapter, echoed sentiments that the humanitarian gesture by Dr. Musa Maikaya through his foundation deserves commendation from all quarters.
Ahmad Abdullahi Abubakar, Chairman of the NSUK Faculty Presidents Forum, expressed appreciation for the kind gesture by Maikaya and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic presentation of books to students’ union leaders by the representative of the CEO of Maikaya Development Foundation, Comrade Shuaibu Sani.
It will be recalled that Dr. Musa Maikaya also donated food items to students with special needs at Nasarawa State University Keffi, where he received accolades from students.
