“I Am Not Akpabio, Bello or Tinubu” – Prof. Duru Insists Petition Not Withdrawn, Demands Probe of Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Amid Threats

Prof. Sandra Chidinma Duru, self-proclaimed universal citizen of truth and justice, has vehemently denied being Senator Godswill Akpabio, former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, or President Bola Tinubu, while demanding urgent prosecution of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over alleged lawlessness and abuse of power.
Defamation: Charges Against Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
In a statement released today, Prof. Duru described the matter as “bigger than one case,” warning that failure to act could undermine Nigeria’s justice system, national security, and constitutional order. She recounted a personal phone conversation with Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, where she jokingly noted his soft-spoken demeanor before raising serious concerns.
“This is history at a critical point. If the lawlessness and disgraceful behavior of Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan are not handled properly, Nigeria risks sending a message to its citizens and the world that impunity rules,” Prof. Duru stated.
She accused the Kogi lawmaker of compromising due process and disregarding justice, vowing never to stay silent on such issues.
Prof. Duru revealed surviving “targeted and politically motivated attacks” in recent months, which she documented in a comprehensive report and upcoming documentary series. She clarified that she did not withdraw her April 2025 petitions, which she described as “brilliantly written” and already acknowledged by authorities with “substantial and credible evidence” under investigation.
“My petitions have been officially submitted, assigned, investigated, and acknowledged. Some evidence has already been released to appropriate authorities. I am not just a principal witness; I am the complainant in my own case,” she affirmed, attaching an acknowledgement copy of her latest petition to the AGF.
Prof. Duru called for a professional review, thorough re-investigation, and swift prosecution of the suspect without political interference. She urged accelerated hearings with public results for transparency, insisting any forgiveness would require full accountability and remorse.
“I do not want to go further than the truth and facts allow. My evidence is solid, and I am prepared to present it so the public can see the full roles played by everyone involved, including political leaders, security agencies, and justice institutions,” she added.
Describing the issue as one of national and international importance, she stressed: “Nigeria and the world are watching. The law must speak, and the constitution must prevail. “The professor, who serves as Global Director of Project TruthShield, disclosed receiving fresh life threats after submitting the petition but has forwarded details to authorities. “Guess what, submitting this petition did not come without the usual warnings and threats to my life. I will share the full story in my next post. Stay tuned, the truth is coming, and it cannot be ignored,” she concluded.
