Renowned grassroots mobiliser and political heavyweight, Hon. Salihu Ibrahim Rossy, has taken the campaign gospel of Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, the Ciroman Toto, to the heart of Gadabuke District in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, charging the resilient Gade nation to rally behind the 2027 governorship project with unyielding unity and purpose.

Speaking at a colourful luncheon organised by the Gade Babye Women Association of Toto, popularly known as AGEYEYI AGHEZHA, Rossy, a former administrator during the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) era under ex-Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, transformed what could have been a mere social gathering into a powerful platform for political awakening, where women’s voices converged with the collective aspirations of the people for continuity, competence, and compassionate leadership ahead of the crucial 2027 governorship election.

In his rousing address to an enthusiastic audience that brimmed with energy and anticipation, Hon. Rossy painted a vivid picture of Dr. Maikaya as the quintessential bridge between the corridors of power and the humble abodes of the grassroots, urging the Gade community to recognise and embrace the exceptional qualities that set him apart from the pack of aspirants.

“Dr. Maikaya is a man whose footsteps echo in every village, whose doors swing wide open to the poor and needy, and whose heart pulses in rhythm with the joys and struggles of ordinary folks,” Rossy declared, emphasising that the journey to succeed Governor Abdullahi A. Sule demands more than fleeting popularity, it calls for proven loyalty, deep administrative experience, profound humility, and an authentic concern for humanity, all virtues which he affirmed Maikaya embodies in abundance.

Rossy, himself a product of grassroots politics, recounted how Maikaya’s proximity to the people positions him uniquely, closer to the soil and the sweat of the masses than any other contender, insisting that true leadership is forged not in air-conditioned boardrooms but in the fires of community life.

“This is not just about politics,” Hon. Rossy stressed with unmistakable passion, his voice rising above the murmurs of agreement from the crowd. “It is about safeguarding the hard-won gains of the current administration, fortifying the solid foundations already laid by Governor Sule, and propelling Nasarawa State to greater heights under a leader who truly understands the people because he lives, eats, and breathes among them.”

Turning his appeal specifically to the women of Gadabuke, whom he hailed as the unassailable backbone of societal transformation, Rossy charged them to stand resolute, own the political process, and drive the 2027 project with vision, courage, and zero regrets, noting that when women rise in unison for a righteous cause, entire communities mobilise, and the arc of history inevitably bends in their favour, a clarion call that ignited cheers and chants across the district.

The event climaxed on a resounding high note of optimism, solidarity, and unbreakable commitment, as participants poured out prayers, goodwill messages, and thunderous affirmations in support of Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya’s governorship aspiration, sending a clear signal that the grassroots machinery in Toto LGA is not merely observing from the sidelines but is fully primed and eager to march shoulder-to-shoulder towards a future anchored in continuity, progress, and people-first governance for Nasarawa State.
