Senator Aduda’s Special Assistant, Gwani, dumps PDP

Hon Andrew Samuel Gwani, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), to the minority leader of the 9th senate, Senator Philip Aduda has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the FCT.
Gwani, a former chieftain and Chairmanship aspirant of the PDP in the Bwari Area Council of the FCT announced his resignation in a letter he personally signed dated March, 18, 2026, and addressed to the PDP chairman of Igu ward of the Bwari area council.
A copy of the resignation letter which was obtained by our correspondent, Gwani said his decision to resign his membership of the party with immediate effects after careful consideration.
He said he remained grateful for the relationship built and the experience he gained during his time with the party, adding that he appreciate the platform and opportunity to serve.
“And I wish the leadership and members of the party continued success in moving forward,”he said.
Our correspondent had reHowever, our correspondent reliably gathered that Gwani is set to also join his principal, Senator Aduda in APC.ported that Senator Philip Aduda on Tuesday, also resigned his membership of the PDP, in which he attributed to crisis bedeviling the party.
Aduda, a close ally to the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike had immediately after his resignation proceeded to the national secretariat of APC in company of some chieftains of the party in FCT where he was formally received into the party’s fold by the national chairman of APC Nantawe Yitilwada.
