Dr Betta Edu, Director of Women Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure another term in office in the 2027 presidential election.
Edu spoke on Monday at the 2026 Pre-Inaugural Women’s Summit and Empowerment Programme held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The summit, convened by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was organised under the theme, “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity – One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027.”
Edu commended the First Lady for bringing together APC women stakeholders and for supporting initiatives aimed at mobilising and empowering women across the country.

She said the APC women’s mobilisation structure was being strengthened from the national level down to states, local government areas, wards, communities and polling units ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to Edu, the women’s mobilisation campaign has a target of securing 40 million votes for President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.
“We are moving into the 2027 electoral season with purpose, structure, and determination. Our target is 40 million women’s votes, and we are building the organisation required to achieve it. President Tinubu will win again,” Edu said.
She said the mobilisation strategy went beyond rallies, explaining that APC women leaders were expected to engage directly with communities and households while communicating the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.
Edu said the initiative would also promote opportunities for women in enterprise, agriculture, skills development, governance and community development.

The gathering attracted the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari; Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma; former APC National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje; members of the PCC Women Mobilisation Directorate; women stakeholders from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory; support groups and civil society organisations.
During the programme, Edu led participants in a chant of “Winner! Oh, oh, oh! Winner! Jagaban! You don win o!”
The chant drew the First Lady, the wife of the Vice President, the wife of the Senate President, more than 30 wives of state governors and other dignitaries to their feet.
Edu subsequently declared that Tinubu would remain President until 2031, while urging APC women to remain united and organised ahead of the election.
She described the mobilisation target as “40 Million Women Votes! One Coordinated Mobilisation! One Voice, One Movement, One Mandate for 2027.”
The programme also featured an empowerment exercise for women beneficiaries, with the First Lady presenting various support items, including motorbikes and farm trucks, to beneficiaries.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu also held a closed-door meeting with female APC candidates and other dignitaries on the sidelines of the programme.
