Appeal Court Victory: Oluchi Oparah Congratulates Nenadi Usman-Led Labour Party Leadership
Former National Treasurer of the Labour Party, Oluchi Oparah, has congratulated the party’s National Chairman, Nenadi Esther Usman; National Secretary, Darlington Nwokocha; and the Governor of Abia State, Alex Chioma Otti, following the party’s victory at the Court of Appeal.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Oparah described the judgment as a resounding affirmation of due process and the rule of law, noting that it also validates the Labour Party’s commitment to internal democracy and constitutional order.
She said the ruling reinforces the principle that party affairs remain the exclusive preserve of its members, free from undue external interference.
She urged party faithful across the country to remain united, resolute, and forward-looking in the aftermath of the decision.

Oparah also called on members to actively participate in the forthcoming congresses scheduled for April 23, as well as the National Convention slated for April 28, 2026, emphasizing the need to strengthen the party’s structures nationwide.
According to her, the victory serves as a morale booster for the party, offering renewed momentum to consolidate its gains, deepen democratic ideals, and position the Labour Party for greater accomplishments in the future.
Oparah reaffirmed confidence in the party’s leadership and progressive direction, urging continued loyalty and dedication to the ideals of both the party and the nation.
