2027: Abaji council chair joins FCT senate race, picks N20m nomination forms

The incumbent Chairman of Abaji Area Council of the FCT Hon Abubakar Umar Abdullahi has picked N20M million nomination /expression of interest forms to contest for FCT senate seat in 2027 general election.
Abdullahi, said he formally declared his intention to contest for the territory’s senate seat on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after he accepted the clarion to contest for the FCT senate seat for the 2027 general election.
A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Mohammed, the chairman said his decision to contest the FCT senate seat followed series of consultations and passionate appeal appeals from stakeholders, youths, women groups, associations and good people of the FCT.
According to him, he formally accepted the call following series of consultations and passionate appeals from stakeholders, youth, women, and the good people of the territory.
The council chairman, however, pledged to represent the interests, aspirations, and future of all residents of the FCT with dedication and integrity at the senate.
”I, Hon. Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, the incumbent chairman of Abaji Area Council, humbly answer the clarion call of the good people of the FCT. And hereby declare my intention to contest for the FCT senate seat in 2027 general election to represent our great territory at the National Assembly,” he stated.
Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to all supporters and other well-wishers for their confidence they have in him to vye for the FCT senate seat in 2027 election.
The chairman, emphasized his belief in divine guidance and leadership, saying leadership comes from Almighty Allah, and grants it to whom he wills.
“And we pray that God make us the best choice and grants us victory. Ameen. As together we can make FCT greeter”the statement concluded.
