Mahmud Gaya Submits Notice of Intent for APC Reps Ticket Ahead of 2027

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ajingi/Gaya/Albasu Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Gaya made his intention known at the APC state headquarters shortly after submitting his notice of intent to vie for the party’s ticket.

The former lawmaker, who represented the constituency between 2015 and 2023, said his decision was motivated by a strong commitment to public service and a desire to enhance the welfare and development of the area.

He described the Ajingi/Gaya/Albasu Federal Constituency as one with significant potential, stressing the need for effective and experienced representation to harness available opportunities.

Gaya pointed to his track record during his previous tenure as evidence of his capacity to deliver, noting that his years in office provided him with a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of his constituents.

According to him, “the exposure and experience I gained have equipped me with the tools to provide purposeful leadership and practical solutions to the challenges facing our constituency.”

He pledged that, if given the party’s ticket, he would build on his past achievements and scale up development initiatives across Ajingi, Gaya and Albasu Local Government Areas.

Gaya also assured party members of his commitment to unity within the APC, promising to promote inclusive engagement and cooperation among stakeholders.

He expressed appreciation to party faithful and constituents for their continued support, while praying for the progress of the party and the constituency.
