Rush for Tickets as Aspirants Flood Labour Party Secretariat

The Labour Party National Secretariat witnessed a surge of activity on Monday as aspirants from across the country stormed the premises to obtain nomination forms for various elective positions ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In a press released issued by Ken Eluma Asogwa, National Publicity Secretary, May 11, 2026,. The development signals the intensifying race for the party’s tickets, with contenders from both the northern and southern regions making their presence felt in what stakeholders described as a bustling and competitive atmosphere.

Among the prominent aspirants who secured their nomination forms were Arc. (Dr.) Peter Agada, who picked the Presidential Nomination Form; Hon. Philip Agbese for the Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwe Federal Constituency seat in Benue State; and Maj. Kenneth Obiabo Ehoche for the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency seat, also in Benue State.

Others include Rt. Hon. Gazo Jonathan Gbefwi, who is vying for the Nasarawa State governorship ticket; Ishaya Timothy Yohanna for the Yola North/Yola South/Girei Federal Constituency seat; and Prince Chioma Chinwo, a governorship aspirant in Rivers State.

Several other aspirants were also seen completing the process, underscoring the growing interest in the party’s platform as preparations gather pace.
