The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Kogi East, Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, has commended the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party for appointing Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and several other party leaders into the APC National Campaign Council for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election.
In a statement made available to journalists, Erico described the appointments as a strong indication of the confidence reposed in the appointees by the party leadership, citing their vast political experience, leadership capacity, and commitment to the growth of the APC.
He particularly congratulated Governor Ododo and former Governor Bello on what he termed their well-deserved appointments, noting that both leaders have continued to play significant roles in advancing the fortunes of the ruling party at both state and national levels.
According to Erico, Governor Ododo has sustained purposeful governance in Kogi State while consolidating on the developmental strides of previous APC administrations. He also described Bello as a strategic political leader whose contributions to party-building, youth empowerment, and political inclusion have strengthened the APC across the country.
The Kogi East APC flagbearer expressed confidence that the inclusion of the two leaders and other seasoned party stakeholders in the campaign council would significantly boost the party’s chances of securing victory in the Ekiti governorship election.
He maintained that their wealth of experience, political influence, and dedication to the ideals of the APC would contribute immensely to the success of the campaign.
Erico further praised the APC National Working Committee for assembling what he described as a formidable team of experienced politicians, administrators, and loyal party members to spearhead the campaign effort in Ekiti State.
According to him, the move reflects the party’s commitment to strengthening internal democracy, expanding grassroots support, and ensuring electoral success across the country.
He called on APC members and supporters to remain united and committed to the party’s vision and objectives, expressing optimism that the APC would emerge victorious in the forthcoming governorship poll in Ekiti State.
Erico also wished members of the National Campaign Council a successful outing as they undertake the responsibility of mobilising support for the party ahead of the election.
