APC Youth Network Drives Voter Education, Civic Participation in Shomolu/Bariga

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Network West Africa has intensified its grassroots mobilisation drive following a strategic engagement with the Shomolu/Bariga Youth Movement aimed at promoting political participation and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The meeting, led by the Director-General of the APC Youth Network West Africa, Hon. Olatunde Igbasan, was hosted by Olaide Mayowa Jose.

The engagement focused on deepening political awareness, voter education, civic responsibility, youth inclusion in governance, and fostering national unity through active participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.

Addressing participants, HRH Dr. Olaide Mayowa Jose urged Nigerian youths to become ambassadors of political enlightenment by encouraging eligible citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate actively in elections.

He stressed that nation-building requires unity, hope, constructive engagement, and a shared commitment to supporting initiatives that promote sustainable national development.

Other speakers at the event also called on parents and young people to embrace civic responsibility by registering for their PVCs and participating in the electoral process.

They expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, noting that patriotism and collective responsibility remain critical to achieving national progress.

The meeting ended with participants reaffirming their commitment to strengthening grassroots mobilisation, promoting voter education, and supporting the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across communities.

The APC Youth Network West Africa said it would continue its grassroots advocacy and political sensitisation campaigns across the region as part of efforts to encourage greater youth participation in governance and democratic processes.
