Speaking during the distribution, Hon. Khalid Yusuf Sule said the intervention was made possible through the support of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, describing it as part of the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots development.
According to him, the initiative reflects the state government’s determination to improve the welfare of young people and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach communities across Nasarawa State.
He noted that Governor Sule has maintained a longstanding relationship with the people of Gudi, even before assuming office as governor, adding that the administration has continued to execute projects that have positively impacted the community.
“Khalid said Gudi has witnessed significant infrastructure development under Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration, including the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering, the upgrade of the General Hospital, ongoing road construction projects, and other developmental interventions across the town and surrounding communities.”
He urged residents to sustain their support for the governor’s administration, expressing confidence that continued cooperation would attract more development to the area.
The grassroots mobiliser also appealed to the people to support Governor Abdullahi Sule’s reported ambition for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District seat, as well as the governorship aspiration of Ahmed Aliyu Wadada and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
He stressed that unity, patience and unwavering support for the APC-led administration would further accelerate development across Akwanga Local Government Area and Nasarawa State.
Beneficiaries commended Hon. Khalid Yusuf Sule and Governor Abdullahi Sule for the intervention, describing the empowerment programme as timely in view of prevailing economic challenges.
They expressed appreciation for the cash grants and food support, saying the gesture would ease financial pressure on many families while encouraging greater youth participation in community development.
