A Nasarawa-based coalition of youth support groups has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to review the representation of the state in the party’s Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Coalition of Youth Support Groups for Wadada 2027 made the demand through its Chairman, Comr. Jaafar Muhammad Loko, who is also the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State.
The coalition said Nasarawa State deserved stronger representation in the campaign structure, considering what it described as the state’s political importance and contributions to the APC.
According to Loko, the request was not aimed at any individual appointed to the campaign council but was intended to ensure that the state’s key political actors are strategically deployed for the success of the party.
Sule, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim Named
The coalition specifically mentioned Governor Abdullahi A. Sule and the Minister of Women Affairs, Hon. Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, as two Nasarawa political leaders whose roles should be reviewed.
On Governor Sule, the group urged President Tinubu to consider him for a senior responsibility in the campaign council, particularly the coordination of the North-Central region.
The coalition said the governor’s position as Chairman of the North-Central Governors’ Forum, alongside his political experience, regional network and organisational capacity, made him suitable for the assignment.
It also proposed that Sule could serve as Director of Media and Publicity or take up another senior campaign position that would benefit from his experience in political communication and campaign coordination.
The group said deploying the governor more prominently would strengthen the confidence of APC supporters in Nasarawa and other parts of the North-Central region.
On Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, the coalition urged the APC leadership to review her reported assignment as deputy in the Directorate of Women Mobilization.
The group argued that the minister’s national profile, organisational capacity and involvement in APC activities warranted a more strategic position in the campaign structure.
Loko said proper recognition of the minister would motivate women, youths and other party stakeholders in Nasarawa State to intensify their support for the APC.
Coalition Lists Demands
The coalition outlined several measures it wants the APC leadership to consider.
These include giving Governor Sule a leading role in North-Central campaign coordination; considering him for Director of Media and Publicity or another senior campaign responsibility; reviewing Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim’s current designation; and ensuring that Nasarawa receives fair and strategic representation in the final campaign structure.
The group said the proposed adjustments would strengthen internal cohesion, boost the morale of party supporters and improve the APC’s campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 elections.

It further reaffirmed its loyalty to President Tinubu, the APC and the democratic process.
The coalition urged the President and the party leadership to give the request urgent consideration, stressing that a more inclusive campaign structure would benefit the APC’s electoral efforts in Nasarawa State and across the North-Central region.
