The International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), Lokoja Satellite Campus, has commenced the sale of admission forms for the 2026/2027 academic session into its Diploma (DIP), Higher Diploma (HD) and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) programmes.
The programmes cover Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising and Multimedia, and are designed for aspiring and practising media professionals as well as workers in related fields.
The IIJ Lokoja Campus is located at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat/Press Centre, Lord Lugard Road, Lokoja, Kogi State.
The institute said its programmes are suitable for serving journalists seeking to sharpen their professional skills in broadcast and print journalism, as well as non-journalists working in public relations, protocol and communication-related positions.
Beneficiaries may include personnel in ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), local government councils, religious organisations, military and paramilitary establishments, including the Police, Nigeria Customs Service, Immigration Service, Correctional Service and Civil Defence Corps.
According to the institute, the programmes are intended to improve participants’ skills, competence and knowledge in journalism, publishing, public relations and advertising.
Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission into the Diploma programme must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent from NABTEB or NECO.
Candidates are required to have at least five credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings, including Mathematics and English Language.
For the Higher Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma programmes, applicants are required to possess a Diploma, National Diploma (ND) or First Degree from a recognised Nigerian higher institution.
