Former Kogi State Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Ohere, has emerged as the new Kogi State Coordinator of the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN).
Ohere takes over from Hon. Idris David Zacharias, the House of Representatives member representing Idah Federal Constituency.
The leadership change comes following Zacharias’ recent movement to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he is pursuing his political ambitions, including another term in the House of Representatives.
RTIFN said Ohere’s appointment was informed by his experience in grassroots mobilisation, political engagement and his network across Kogi State.
Alongside Ohere, Hon. Idris Oando was appointed Deputy Kogi State Coordinator, while Okehi Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, was named Director of Liaison, North Central.
The appointments were presented by RTIFN Director-General, Amb. Ahmed Bala, at the movement’s office in Maitama, Abuja.
Bala charged the new officials to work toward strengthening RTIFN structures across Kogi State and the North Central region.
The ceremony was witnessed by former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja; Zack Orji; Hajia Aishat Omade; and other national and state officials of the movement.
As part of its next phase of activities, RTIFN has scheduled October 12, 2026, for the inauguration of its new Kogi State leadership in Lokoja.

The inauguration will be combined with a Town Hall and Stakeholders’ Engagement designed to bring together political stakeholders, community leaders, youth and women groups, coordinators and other grassroots actors.
The new Kogi leadership is expected to begin engagements across the state’s 21 local government areas, with a focus on coordination and grassroots mobilisation.
