Abia 2023: Igwe speaks on a political platform to actualize gubernatorial bid, slams APC, PDP over poor performances

A gubernatorial aspirant from Abia State, Prince Onuoha Igwe, has disclosed that he is searching for a credible and acceptable platform to actualize his bid to become governor of the state in the upcoming general election in Nigeria come 2023.

He maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, All Progressive Congress, and All Progressive Grand Alliance have failed and disappointed the Nigerian electorates in leadership with no meaningful efforts to enhance the socio-economic and Infrastructural growth and development of the society and as well as, the welfare of the people.

Prince Igwe who stated in an interview with AFRI POST on Sunday, on the heels of readiness of political parties to commence the conduct of primaries and the main general election in 2023 in the state and many parts of Nigeria federation.

He described the governing APC, PDP A, and other dominant parties as strange bedfellows, expressing total regret that Abia has continued to retrogress in the last twenty-four years of the inception of the current democratic process in the country.

The aspirant who also regretted the alleged economic downturn, and backwardness in the Infrastructural development, hinted that the successive administrations in Abia state particularly have weaponized hunger, hardship, and penury, as people and residents of the state have been turned into food beggars, which can best be attributed to the lopsided and draconian policies and programs f the PDP administration in Abia state.

According to him, “PDP, APC, APGA are the same. No difference. They are conglomerates of strange bedfellows and those who have failed to deliver the basic democracy dividends with the mandate entrusted to them. Both parties lacked internal democracy and have disappointed the populaces in deepening the democratic process in the state and the country at large.

Igwe reiterated that It’s time for all Abians to join in the current revolutionary mission to salvage the state from the clutches of bad governance, necessitated by a lack of good policy thrusts toward improving people’s livelihood, as well, enhance the development of the nation’s critical infrastructure and the economy,

The Abia chieftain also expressed total dismay at the level of sycophancy among the majority of our leaders at all levels, who equally resort to trading of conscience, then to speaking truth to powers; and also, the unpatriotic citizens indulge in vote-buying during the electioneering period on their inordinate quest for during praising government that has failed woefully in all indices of governance.

On the controversies over zoning arrangement regarding the 2023 governorship seat of Abia state, Prince Onuoha Igwe posited that the zoning system has failed to breed the needed economic and Infrastructural growth and development in the state.

He further maintained Abia people are yearning for a governor that has the requisite capacity, ability, and competence to solve the current myriads of economic and Infrastructural deficits facing the state, regretting that the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress have disappointed the masses, and have equally failed to fulfill their electoral promises.

Igwe, therefore, called on the electorates to troop out on the election day and make use of their Permanent Voters Card and vote out failed politicians and install a leadership shrouded on the enhancement of the√®l of the people, and usher in, the necessary developments and growths in nation’s economy, infrastructure and other important facets of development.
