Abia APC Stalwart, Emma Uche salutes Buhari on Electoral Amendment Act 2021

An All Progressive Congress Stalwart from Abia State, Mazi Emmanuel Uche, on Friday, applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2021 into law.
Our correspondent reported that the signing ceremony took place inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday.
The assent is coming a few days after a coalition of civil society organisations staged a protest to compel the president to assent to the amended document.
However, Mazi Emmanuel Uche, while reacting in a statement, on Friday, said that the assent to the nation’s Electoral Amendment Act was a clear vindication of President Buhari’s genuine commitment to deepening democracy in the country.
He said the latest development has buried the sceptics surrounding the electoral amendment Act, now signed, reiterating also the unshaken commitment of All Progressive Congress to bequeathing Nigerians’ sound and peoples-oriented laws that reflect the wish of the citizenry.
Uche assured Nigerians at home and diaspora that the current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari will hand over to another democratic government to consolidate the unprecedented and incomparable gains recorded by the administration that have laudably enhanced and fostered stable and permanent socio-economic and Infrastructural developments in every important facet of the nation.
The Abia party Stalwart, who equally used the medium to describe the President as “father of modern Nigeria’; built on true democratic principles and ideologies, and as well as shrouded on rule of law and adherence to basic democratic tenets, emphasizing that history will always be benevolent to President Buhari for heeding to yearnings and several patriotic calls on assent to the amended law, by the populace in the country, and enthrone good governance at all levels of our national life.
He also maintained that APC has defined the true meaning of purposeful and responsive governance, and had changed the narratives, especially in the development and enhancement of the economy and infrastructure, security, Mineral natural resources, youth, men and women empowerment and development under Social Investment Programme, food sufficiency and food security.
Uche further reiterated the present administration’s undeterred genuine and positive commitment and efforts in the continued diversification of Nigeria’s economy through Infrastructures, Agriculture, security, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) etc
Former APC chairmanship Candidate during the last council election held in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia state, also confided that the progressive party keep and maintain lead in good governance and also envisioned landslide victory for the APC in upcoming 2023 general election in states of the federation, hinging his position on unprecedented developmental strides of the President already on the ground.
Uche called on the nation’s electoral umpire to implement and deepen the electoral process by ensuring that electoral guidelines for general elections in Nigeria, align with provisions of law, such as this recent signing of the Electoral Amendment Act 2021 into law by President Buhari.
He, therefore, appreciated Nigerians for their unrelenting support, encouragement and confidence in the administration that has placed the country on the path of economic prosperity and Infrastructural growth, urging them also to get their Permanent Voters Cards to consolidate on the incomparable strides achieved by the President and the All Progressive Congress.
