Adavi Communities Passes Vote of Confidence On Its Executive Chairman, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami.

Adavi communities of Kogi State has commended their Chief Security officer of the council and Executive Chairman, Hon Joseph Omuya Salami for his various impacts since the assumption of office a year ago.

The communities comprising 159 on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, met through their various representatives to appreciate the council boss for his immense contribution to the development of the area.

Speaking through the community leader and Chairman of the forum Alhaji Husein Aduvusu in his welcome address says since the creation of Adavi LG the area had never had it good as in the case of Joseph Omuya Salami led council administration, notes that the Executive Chairman has brought sanity, provides maximum, empowerment of women, youths, health and education support among others.

Aduvusu also noted that the Executive Chairman’s pragmatic leadership styles have endeared him to his people and especially the 159 communities in Adavi LG who were overwhelmed with his people’s oriented policies and programs designed to provide succour to the citizens.

Alhaji Husein Aduvusu maintained that given the inclusive leadership prowess of the Executive Chairman, 159 communities in them during their special collective sitting decided to passed a vote of confidence on their leader as part of efforts to encourage him to do more.

“We are gathered here to honour our Executive Chairman, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami who has distinguished himself among his peers, is a true son of the soil and we are proud of him” the community said.

Speaking further, the community representative Mr Maman, who equally congratulated the Chairman for winning the trust of vast electorates in Adavi LG, said such can only come when a leader has performed beyond a reasonable doubt. He describes Mr Salami administration as athe s best in the history of the council while urging him not to relent in pursuing some critical agenda and programs that will have to bear the populace of the area.

He assured him of the community robust cordial relations as he made some compassionate appeals for completion of the town hall projects and to assist towards facilitating well-designed bye-laws for the interest of peaceful coexistence of all the communities in the area.

A press statement issued on 24 January 2022, by Oseni S O. Bukky, Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media & Publicity to Adavi LG Chairman, quoted Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami appreciated them for the support, prayers and solidarity he enjoyed from the undersigned noble communities when he said assisted his administration right from the time served as an Administrator of the council.

The chairman pledged to look into their demands and subsequently move into action. He also said the projects if completed will go a long way in serving the people of the area.

” I will look into the two issues led before me and I will give it an urgent intervention, most importantly the issue of bye-laws,” he said.

He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for providing him with the platform and opportunity to explore and pledged to sustain the tempo.

He asked them to canvassed other Nigerians massively on the need to have a younger President in the person of Kogi State Governor in 2023 as its president, whose vision and the mission was for the betterment of this great country.

The Chairman urged the people of Adavi LG to report suspicious elements to law enforcement agencies as part of efforts of the present administration led by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello to nip in the bud all sorts of crimes in the area.

Global Times Nigeria report that the Executive Chairman was accompanied by some notable council officials ranging from;  Councilor representing Inorere ward who doubles as the majority leader of the house Hon. Suleiman Idris, Supervisor for works, land, housing and survey Hon. Yusuf Nasiru, Supervisor on Education Hon. Onimisi Chief Security Officer to Adavi LG. Hon. Ozovehe and among others.
