Association of Bakers in Kogi state appeals for support in view of the flooding

Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, Kogi state chapter has sympathized with the people and government of Kogi state over the unfortunate flood that ravaged parts of the state urging the Federal, State governments and cooperate bodies to come to its aid given the unforeseen calamity that befalls them.

In the appeal sent to the federal and State governments, the Kogi State Chairman of the Association, Chief Adeniyi Bamidele Gabriel, expressed sadness that the communities have been deprived of their regular bread due to the effect of the unexpected flood.

According to him, the natural disaster has washed away members’ factories, which has rendered thousands of their employees jobless, members homeless and properties worth millions of naira destroyed by the ravaging flood.

He said despite the harsh economic realities, Bakers in the state have resolved to ensure that the daily compassion for bread by citizens is kept abreast.

It is on this note that the association is calling on the government at all levels and cooperating organizations to extend their magnanimity to the Bakers so that they continue serving the people of the state adequately.

The association also pledged its unflinching loyalty and support to the Kogi state government and the federal government and promised to be law-abiding.
