The speaker of Nasarawa state house of assembly Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has urged the opposition parties especially the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to be calm and wait for their time, saying ruling the APC is still in charge and the party to beat.
Abdullahi, while speaking with newsmen shortly after he casted his vote for the governorship and state assembly election at his Galadima polling unit 009 in Umaisha, Toto local government area of the state on Saturday, expressed confidence that APC will emerge victorious at the end of the polls.
He also commended INEC for early arrival of materials at various polling units including the riverine areas, even as called on his supporters to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the election.
The speaker, who is seeking for third term to represent Umaisha /Ugya state constituency, also commended security agencies to manning various polling units in the area.
“And I am optimistic of clear victory Insha Allah, while Governor Abdullahi Sule’s will also coast home in victory by the grace of God. So I want to urge the opposition to be calm and wait for their time as APC is still in charge,” he said.
Also speaking, the Ohimege Opanda Umaisha HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi lauded INEC for early distribution of materials, while calling on his subjects to come out en mass and vote peacefully.
Alhaji Abdullahi, who voted at his Galadima B polling unit 009, called on all candidates and their supporters to exhibit high level of sportsmanship and accept whatever the outcome of the result will be with good faith.
