Chief Akawu Condoles With Gov Bello, Says Mother Death, Shocking And Great Loss To Kogi

A Chairman of Board Rubber Research Institute, Benin, Edo State, Hon. Chief Saidu Akawu Salihu, has described the demise of the mother of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, as a great loss to the state.

Chief Akawu, a former commissioner and House Assembly member, in the Kogi legislative chamber, who represented Koton-Karfe in Kogi Local Government Area, said this during his condolence visit to the Governor on Wednesday in Government House Lokoja.

Recalled that the Governor mother, Hajia Hauwa Oziohu Bello died in the late hours of Sunday in Abuja hospital, at the age of 101.

“The demise of Mama Hauwa Oziohu Bello, is a glorious home call of an irreplaceable matriarch.

“I wish to commiserate with my Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello and the entire family on the passage of their matriarch.

“The death of mama is indeed a great loss, not just to the Bello family, but the entire state.

“We can all attest to the fact that mama lived a fulfilled and exemplary life and this is worthy of emulation,” Chief said.

He added that the deceased would be greatly missed for her motherly role, timely advice, support and consistent prayer for the Bellos and the state at large.

“Mama has left an indelible mark and she indeed lived for mankind. There is no gainsaying that God has blessed Kogi State through the fruits of her womb,” he said.

Chief Akawu prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
