Covid-19: Irukera Foundation Distributes Relieves Items Worth Million Of Naira To Kogi Communities.

The immediate past Governorship aspirant in Kogi State under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Director General, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Barrister Babatunde Irukera through his Foundation distributed food and non food items worth millions of Naira to people across the twenty one (21) Local Government Areas of Kogi State to Cushions the effect of government sit-at-home directive order by Kogi State Government as part of measure to curb the menace.

The gesture which many described as timely and divinely described the politician as humane for coming to their aid at this difficult time.

Addressing Newsmen over the development a coordinator of the Irukera Foundation, Mr. Onirinwa Folami said the move was borne out of love, conviction and ideas of the Director General, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Barrister Babatunde Irukera to alleviate sufferings and improve welfare of his people at grassroot level as result of the Coronavirus pandemic spread.

According to him, the items were distributed beyond political, ethnic and religious background as part of measure to Contain the virus and as well reaching out to vulnerable people at this hard period that people cannot go out for their daily businesses.

He commended the founder of the foundation, Barrister Irukera for his passion and selfless inputs to Kogi people at this time of economic hardship, describing the gesture as a step in the right direction. Mr. Folami urged other Nigerians to urgently emulate Irukera’s selfless style of leadership in the State and beyond.
