Democracy Day: Grand Patron, Shuaibu Audu’s Foundation Urged Nigerians To Emulate National and International Figures for their numerous contributions

Nigerians at home and diaspora have been urged to emulate the precepts of both national and international figures who are respected for their roles and contributions towards the development of democracy.

The Grand Patron of Shuaibu Abubakar Audu’s Foundation, Alhaji Shuibu Abubakar Audu gave the urge in his message towards this year’s celebration of democracy day.

Alhaji Audu who is also the son of Kogi State Political Icon, Prince Abubakar Audu said the country needs to learn more from developed countries where democracy succeed.

According to him, the sustenance of democracy since 1999 is worthy to be celebrated emphasizing that Nigeria should further be respected for adopting the system through thorough recognition of human rights, freedom of press and transparency in the electoral process.

He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, the APC presidential Candidate, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Yahaya Bello and the people of Kogi State on the occasion and wished them a happy celebration.

Alhaji Audu also appealed for adequate recognition of the families of those who had sacrificed for Nigerians democracy particularly, Chief M.K.O Abiola’s family noting that their contributions would remain indelible in the history of the country.

He urged Nigerians to remain trabalised amidst all the current challenges noting that unity and love will strengthen bond among the ethnic groups in the country.

Alhaji Shuaibu Audu whose gesture cut across Kogi State vowed to provide meaningful development using his foundation to achieve all he has started for the sake of humamity.
