With the crisis rocking the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mrs. Evelyn Igbafe has raised the alarm over what he described as endless impunity against the party founding leaders in the State.

Igbafe in a statement made available to Journalists said l Chief Dan Orbih should be left alone by those who are hell-bent on destroying PDP in Edo State by peddling unfounded lies about the PDP chieftain.

“Let’s ask ourselves salient questions: what exactly is the problem these ungrateful elements have against the leader, Chief Dan Osi Orbih? Is it now a problem that he accepted those who were tossed out of their party for anti-party activities? Is it his fault for accepting those who could not pass screening in their party? What is his crime? Oh for going around 192 wards to repair battered images is now a crime? What exactly is his crime?” Mrs. Igbafe asked with curiosity capable of smothering an enemy to ashes.

“I can tell you very categorically that they cannot do Chief Dan Orbih anything. All they are doing is like a man winking at a girl in the dark where the girl is not even seeing him. Go to see Chief Dan, he is always in his boisterous self and smile welcoming visitors as he is always known for, he is unperturbed. When his enemies decide to knock their heads on hard walls, I don’t know exactly how he will be bothered,” Mrs. Igbafe explained to our correspondent who called her to seek to know her position in the crisis rocking the party in Edo State.

“Unfortunately, these actions will affect every average Edo Statesman and woman; they can’t be trusted to be helped. We collectively helped someone whose political career was already over when Oshiomhole tossed him into the gutters of history. Next time an Edo State person asks for help, either in politics or other endeavors, the truth is people will always cast their minds back to how this man behaved after he was helped. And for this reason, every PDP member in Edo State must stand up to speak out against this unnecessary attack against our leader, Chief Dan Orbih. He hasn’t done anything wrong! Leave him alone oh,” Mrs. Igbafe barked loudly with anger.

“All the harmonization they are talking about are all illegal, they know. If they don’t, let them go and point to where specifically it is in our Party Constitution. No single individual has the right to dissolve our excos no matter how highly placed he is. The constitution of the Party is supreme.

“If because Chief Dan Orbih is standing for the party’s supremacy and standing for the old members of the Party against the brutality of some strangers, so be it. He is not contesting elections in Edo State, he has passed that stage in his life. But he is against the humiliation of those members who had stood with the party all these years when the party was in the opposition. He is against the annihilation of members of old PDP members. He is against the dictatorial tendencies of some highly placed newcomer. He is against the suppression of the Party’s Constitution. Chief Dan Orbih is the one protecting us in PDP, if not for him, we would have been disgraced and chased out of the Party. So, please, please, please, stop the lies, leave him alone,” he begged and barked.
