Eid-El-Fitr: Barr. Tanko Rejoices With Muslims On Sallah Celebration, Calls For Peace And Harmonious Co-existence With Others.

Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Hon. Chief Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku has sent messages of goodwill to Nigerians and Kogi State Muslims in particular on the occasion of Eid-el-fitr festival after a month fasting period.

Barr. Tanko in his Eid-El-fitr goodwill message on Sunday to Nigerians, signed by his Media Aide, Yahaya Idris, which was made available to Journalists in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

The award winning legal luminary calls on Muslims and Nigerians in general to live up to the highest ideals of religious beliefs, including the fear of God, selfless service, honesty, justice, equity, fairness, dutifulness, peace and harmonious co-existence with others.

Tanko who is the immediate past Administrator of Kogi Local Government Council also congratulated all Muslims who successfully participated in this year Ramadan fast. He also pray God to grant the Muslims faithful their hearts desires and according to their good intentions.

 

He said the essence of fasting was to seek Allah’s bountiful blessings upon mankind, his forgiveness and also to offer sacrifice to the most needy and poor.

Barr. Tanko said Kogi State would make faster progress toward the attainment of developmental objectives with the co-operations of the citizens.  He said the Governor Yahaya Bello led APC administration in the State would continue to give dedicated, committed, focused and purposeful leadership toward overcoming old and emerging challenges in the confluence State.

The former council boss said Nigerians should use the occasion of the Sallah celebration to remember the plight of the victims of COVID-19 pandemic and also observe precautionary measures, that is, social distancing, constant washing of hands, wearing of facemasks and apply alcohol base sanitizer in order to slow down the virus from gaining access to our immediate environment.

“In the true spirit of our religion which enjoin us to be generous to the needy, I urge all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, party differences who can do so to show more love to Nigerians especially those affected COVID-19 persons and high risk communities undergoing security threat.

Barr. Tanko who earlier observed the two special Raka’at prayer at his country home Osuku community, situated a few kilometers from Koton-Karfe, the administrative headquarters of the Kogi Local Government council.

The grassroot political leader was accompanied by family members, some of his aides, security personnel, well-wishers, supporters and APC stalwarts.
