Administrator of Kogi local government Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku has assured the people of the commitment of the present administration led by Alhaji Yahaya Bello to secure them against all categories of crimes and criminals in the year 2020.
In his new year message to the people of the local government, the administrator said the successes recorded in the fight against crime, are evidences of the security agencies and local vigilantes’ preparedness to flush out the criminal that have terrorising the area.
He said the state government has put in place community security assistants whose performances have been excellent and the conventional security outfits also commended their contributions.
The Local government Boss also commended the bravery and gallantry of Vigilante groups in the area for their cooperation wonderful perfornce on eve of new year, when they subdued the dreaded armed robbery and kidnap gang that have almost taken over the Lokoja/Abuja highway.
He called on the state government and spirited individuals as well as the communities to assist the heroes as a mark of appreciation.
Tanko also commended the Ohimege Igu, HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto and other traditional rulers for their advises and contribution to the maintenance of peace and harmony in the area.
He equally eulogised the people of the area for their cooperation and advised them to be more vigilant as criminals who escaped from other parts of the country are infiltrating the area.
The Administrator, while wishing the people prosperous new year sought their cooperation and continued support and loyalty to the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, promising that more dividends of democracy will reach them this 2020.
