Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has been commended for his sincere commitment geared towards transforming the State ranging from diversification of economics and infrastructural development.

As emerging and refracted Nations around the globe diversify their economies to enable them to meet their needs, in Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello got a pat on the back for his administration’s enormous investment in the solid minerals sector.

The state commissioner of solid minerals development, Engineer Bashir Gegu gave assertion from the sideline of his new year message to the People of his federal constituency (Lokoja/Kogi) and the generality of the citizens of the state and made available to media organizations in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.

Accordingly, he explained that in furtherance of the Governor’s pragmatic and sincere approach to generate hundreds of employment opportunities for the army of unemployed able-bodied youths and women and improve the revenue base of the state, Governor Yahaya Bello according to him has provided resources for the development of eleven minerals deposit sites out of the existing thirty-three minerals resources existing for exploration this year, 2022.

His word: “My ministry is set to actualize the mandate under which it is conceived and established by the Executive Governor of Kogi State. I and the entire staff of the ministry are ready to justify the confidence reposed in us.”

On the political scene, Engineer Bashir Gegu added that the continued clarion calls from Nigerians defying political differences, religious beliefs, tribal inclination, and historical backgrounds from the six geo-political regions clamoring for the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to contest the Presidential election come 2023 is not only well deserved but a progressive called that should be commended and supported by lovers of democracy in the country.

He praised Nigerians for asking and calling on Governor Yahaya Bello to contest for the presidency and as well as to provide new leadership to the country beyond 2023 stating that security of lives and properties of the country and its people will be assured under the watch of the Governor.

”The miracle of security of Kogi State were the activities of kidnappers, bandits, highways robbery, insurgency, Boko haram and terrorism where adequately decimated will equally be repeated in the country as a whole if Governor Yahaya Bello assumed the leadership of Nigeria.”

Speaking further Engineer Bashir Gegu stressed that his only concern at the moment is to see the eventual actualization of his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello to emerge as the number one citizen of the country in 2023 explaining that he has no ambition to contest for any elective posts as being rumor in setting quarters.

He admonished the citizens especially his constituents to remain calm, peaceful, productive, orderly, be law-abiding people, and support Governor Yahaya Bello and his new direction team and his Presidential ambition and all policies and Programmes of governments for the state to be placed on the pedestal of balance and sustainable development.
