Engr. Bashir Gegu Lauds KADU’s Effort At Strengthening Unity, Urges New Excos To Remain Dedicated For The Progress of Kogi/Koton-Karfe LG

Kogi State Commissioner of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashir Gegu has enjoined the New Executives of the Koton-Karfe Area Development Union (KADU) to remain dedicated to the course of its formation for the progress of the Union, the Area and Kogi State at large.
Engr. Bashir Gegu gave the charge when he received the new Executives of KADU in his Office in Lokoja.
He said over the years, the Union have been known for engaging in activities that will bring transformation and rapid development to the Area, stressing that there was need for the new Excos to sustain such tempo.
“I am so happy to have been visited by the most reknown, fervent and longest serving Union that encompasses the various tribes in Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Areas in my Office today. I count it a great honour because the New Executives are people of great potentials and they’ve proven their worth over the years. They are here to congratulate me on my appointment and to also appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for the various projects he’s executing in the Area, ranging from road construction, electrification among others”
The Commissioner noted that with the recent touch of Governor Bello in various sectors of the Area, things are fast opening up in terms of business and the livelihood of the people is changing for the best.
Engr. Bashir Gegu added that with the coming on board of the new Executives of KADU, who he described as men of proven integrity, a lot is expected of them in terms of ensuring peace, development, empowerment of women/youths, among others.
Speaking in an interview, President of KADU, Hon. Abdulrahaman Wuya, said they were in the Commissioner’s Office to congratulate him on his appointment and to rub minds on issues that will serve as catalyst to the success of the new Executives of the Union.
Hon. Wuya, a two-time former Commissioner in the State added that their visit was also appreciate His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for finding sons/daughters of the Area worthy to serve in his cabinet and also to appreciate him for the various laudable projects he’s executing in the Area.
The President pledged the commitment of the new Executives at taking the Union forward and seek for the cooperation of the people of the Area to enable them deliver the required results.
