Engr. Bashir Gegu pray for peaceful repose of late Lokoja LG Chairman, Dan’Asabe
….As Kogi Governor elect, Ododo, other prominent leaders, Islamic clerics grace 8 day firdau prayer.

Some notable leaders including the newly elected Governor of Kogi State, Ododo Ahmed Usman, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Bashir Gegu, Islamic clerics, political associates were in the family residence of Late Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Hon Mohammed Dan’Asabe Mohammed to offer Prayers for the peaceful repose of the late Executive Chairman.
Engineer Gegu who spoke shortly after the 8 day firdau held at Cantonment Lokoja said the presence of party bigwigs including the incoming Governor of Kogi State, Ododo Ahmed Usman is way to honor and remember his life and contributions to his immediate constituent and State at large.
He also said it is another way to offer comfort and solace to those who were close to the late Executive Chairman.
Global Times Nigeria reports that the gesture not only shows respect for the deceased but also highlights the importance of coming together as a community during times of grief.
The presence of such a prominent figure at the prayers can provide solace and support to the family and friends of the late council boss.
It is a testament to the unity and solidarity within the party, as well as a reflection of the chieftain’s commitment to honoring and remembering those who have passed away.
The occasion had in attendance top government functionaries such as Commissioners, LG chairmen, politicians, friends and well-wishers.
Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammad passed on 10th November, 2023, left behind two wives and six children.
