Eunice spring of life Foundation ESLFs is a pet project and an Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) founded by the amiable First Lady of Benue State; Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom, which has touched so many lives across the state ranging from its thematic areas of Public health, Women empowerment, Mass literacy, Water-Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Menstrual Hygiene as well as Youth empowerment.

Her great humanitarian gestures is what has earned her the title ” The Mother theresa of Benue”. The first lady’s goodwill has touched the nooks and cranny of the state, notably among them is the mobile outreaches which saw the treatment and successful operation of thousands ( male and female,) from varying illness. The cancer awareness program and HIV intervention programmes have saved many lives making our people healthy.

ESLF Has special Activities also targeted to PLWDs, recently the foubdation held activities in partnering United Purpose to create awareness on COVID-19 and Menstrual Hygiene, assess the needs of and train different clusters of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on soft vocational skills.

In the area of agriculture, Her Foundation has given soft loans with little percentages so as to encourage women who venture into agriculture & entrepreneurship.

Youths are the future of the state and they are not left out as first set of youths where sponsored abroad to learn skills who would in-turn train others and become self reliant.

in response to the Dreaded pandemic Over 2000 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), Widows and the elderly (retirees) were beneficiaries at Gboko, Otukpo, Obi, Gwer-West Ushongo, Konshisha and Katsina-Ala when Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) and partners took their COVID-19 Intervention in Benue State project to those five centres on Wednesday 10th June, 2020.

Across these centres, there was sensitization on COVID-19, HIV/AIDs, Tuberculosis and Malaria (ATM) as well as strengthening of knowledge about Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Palliatives (rice, soap for washing of hands, face masks and cash) were distributed to help ameliorate the plight of this most vulnerable section of society especially during this covid-19 pandemic.

The testimonies that trailed the outreach was indicative of the fact that it was largely successful.

To whom much is given much is expected. The First Lady’s personal sacrificial effort to the development of our dear state especially women through Her Foundation, ESLF is Highly Commended.
